With a new Starsector mod, you can have every single weapon on autofire on your controlled ship. You can use the Shift-number keyboard shortcut to toggle autofire for that number group. You can also use the X key to temporarily disable or re-enable all autofire. The mod's two biggest features are autofire AI implemented from scratch and AI Improvements Update for 097a LunaSettings integration overrides.
